Marketing Metrics
I read the suggestions for cookie-best-practices:

If I store the utm_Source and other values from a
Google-Analytics link ( site.com?utm_source=BlahBlah, etc.) as
persistent cookies on our site, how do I get those values to
Cheddargetter.com?
I assume that CheddarGetter.com can't SEE them b/c they are on a
different domain.
And are these (below) the CheddarGetter cookie names for the
equivalent google analytics utm_ params?
utm_Param = > CheddarGetter cookie name?
'utm_term' => 'campaignTerm',
'utm_campaign' => 'campaignName',
'utm_source' => 'campaignSource',
'utm_medium' => 'campaignMedium',
'utm_content' => 'campaignContent'

Hi Clay,
It depends on the payment page solution you're using. If you're using your own payment page that's integrated with CG via the API, the process you've outlined is correct so far. Using the API, you could pass in the params you listed above with the create new customer API call (you can check out the API docs if you're interested in learning more about this http://docs.cheddargetter.com/#create-a-new-customer). If you're using the hosted payment pages, you can use the customer update API call to pass in the marketing data after the customer record has been created or you can manually add marketing data to a customer's record via the GUI.
