How do I create a free Subscription for someone?
I'd like to give out a few free (3 month or so ) subscriptions to some customers.
I don't want to create a free Plan because then someone else could potentially choose that free plan when ordering.
Ideally, I'd like to have pre-created a few Customer Codes that are set to expire on a certain date.
What do you advise?

Hi Clay, you can create a free plan but set it to inactive. As you see in the attached screenshot, on each "Edit Plan" page there is a checkbox to mark the plan as active.
Active plans will show up, Inactive plans will not.

Useful feature. Wish I'd seen that before I deleted all our free test Subscription :-)
It sounds like I'd have to add those free Subscriptions (under the Free, but inactive) plan manually, correct?
This will be for "door prizes" for a conference. I want to give them 10 "free 3 month use" "coupons". Is there a way to do something like that, where I pre-generate the codes and then they just login and fill in their name and email to start using them?

Or... is there a way to let someone sign up for an inactive (free, in this case) Plan?
For example, if we call the Create URL and specify the inactive plan, would it show up?

You might also consider allowing customers to signup for a regular plan but push their first bill date out 3 months.
If you're using the hosted pages, there's no way to allow people to signup for an inactive plan (that's what it's for).
