Here is the use case:

1) Set set prospect up in CheddarGetter under a free plan.
2) We call the prospect and get them to buy and tell them they can have two free weeks (they won't be billed for two weeks).
3) We click "Edit Pricing Plan" to change the customer to a paid plan.

Result: There is no option to set their next bill date in the interface.

Request: An option to set their next bill date just like there is an option to set the First Bill Date when adding a new customer.

Sunil -- This is actually the next minor feature currently in development. We hope to have it deployed by the end of the week.

This would be terrific! We often wind up billing a client a couple of days later than their actual billing date for their first charge (delayed b/c we need correct card info, etc.) so it's nice to be able to "correct" their next billing date.

There's been a slight delay in releasing this feature. We'll keep you posted!

Bummer. This keeps us from adding many more of our clients to CG. Looking forward to it.

The current goal is middle of next week. Can you get by in the short term with just API availability? There is a GUI component but if it's that important to you, we can see about breaking the release into two pieces.

Our release is on Tuesday night. We'll have "account creation" done by then but not the credit card yet. Because of this, we'll need to enter the customer's credit card and first bill date in the CheddarGetter UI. If you can get it done by Tuesday or Wednesday, we should be ok.

Guys, reading a thread like this makes me happy I'm your customer.
Where else can you get custom release cycles? :)

    Rock on!

Thanks Daniel -- We aim to please.

Sunil -- We'll do our best to meet a Tuesday night goal. We'll reduce the scope of this release to GUI only in an effort to meet that goal.

Terrific! GUI only is great for us. Thanks Marc!

Guys -- It doesn't look like we're going to be able to meet that Tuesday night goal. We have a few irons in the fire that we need to take care of before finishing this feature. They are taking longer than expected. We'll get it done as soon as possible.

Do you have a new ETA? We'll need to change our sales process between our release Tuesday night and when this features arrives. Thx.

Thanks Marc. Do you guys have an idea exchange where clients can see some of the things you would like to implement?

Sorry for the delay guys. We're testing the upgrade now and should be able to deploy this evening. Currently, only the edit subscription GUI contains the new feature. We'll be running some tests on the API functionality as well as adding a bill date delay (rather than change) feature in the coming days.

We're entering data into the form but it's not taking. Is the form broken?

Hmm... What do you mean by "not taking"? You may need to clear your browser cache or simply refresh the page. The javascript on the page has changed. Do you see the date picker popup when you click the calendar icon in the date field (like the screenshot above)?

This comment was split into a new private discussion: Problem with custom bill date on plan change from free plan to paid

    Here are the steps:

    1) Open FF 3.6.8
    2) Clear cache
    3) Close FF
    4) Reopen FF
    5) Login to CheddarGetter
    6) Go to customer in a free plan
    7) Click on Edit Pricing Plan
    8) Select paid plan in modal
    9) Enter a future bill date
    10) Enter card number, expiration date, card code and postal code (first name, last name and country are already populated)
    11) Click "Save Changes"

Result: The modal goes away, the customer remains in the same free plan and the credit card details are not saved.
