Best way to identify subscription method

When looking at customer data via a /customers/get API call, what's the best -- fastest, most reliable -- way to determine if the user is currently subscribed via PayPal or credit card?

I'm thinking it's the value in subscriptions -> gatewayAccount -> type, however I can't find any documentation to back up my guess. What are the potential values for this field?

    That is correct. The potential values are 'cc' and 'paypal' currently. There could be more in the future... Maybe 'ach' or 'manual' or something along those lines.
