Coupon for free set up fees

Hello,

We want to have a way to give some users no set up fees. Is there a way using your coupon code system that we could do this? Or if we wanted to give a dollar amount discount on the setup costs, how could we do this from the API? Using a custom charge?

   Yes. Promos can be controlled by charge type. Setup a new promo and check the box for the "Choose applicable charge types?" option. Then, only select setup fees.

   Or if we wanted to give a dollar amount discount on the setup costs, how could we do this from the API? Using a custom charge?

   That's also possible. You can apply a custom credit to the account on signup (or whenever). On signup, you'd use the customers/new api call. In the charges list in the POST data, add an entry with a negative amount to create a credit on the initial invoice.
