Metadata or ?
We need to track software license keys (15 fileds per customer) along with each subscription. Would metadata be the way to do this? Can this be displayed to the customer when they login?

The customer metadata is probably the best place for this. The metadata is returned in the API customer response so, yes, you can display it to the customer.
