Changing the subscription[changeBillDate]
Will that prorate the existing recurring charge automatically or would I need to do a custom credit for the prorated amount? Or is there an easier solution.
Example: Monthly Plan $10 recurring on the 10th of each month. Someone buys a $20 Tracked item I want to charge immediately and track on the 20th of the same month. Do I changeBillDate to the 20th and Bill $30 minus my custom credit of <$6.70> for 20 days of non use from the first bill OR does Cheddar handle that automatically when I issue a changeBillDate.
Thanks in advance
Dana

Why do you want to always charge on the 10th?

I don't... what ever date the new customer starts the $10 plan. I know about upgrading plans at a later time I have the prorate option, and the billing date resets at that time. I was just wondering what is charged if I issue a changeBillDate to 'now'.
If the plan is $10 a month, and 10 days later for whatever reason I changeBillDate to 'now' will the client get billed $10 or a prorated amount that day? Is it the same as changing plans?

Ok, now I get it.
Setting changeBillDate to 'now' simply transacts the open invoice in it's current state (as of that moment). So, no prorating or other manipulation. If you want to prorate it, you can add a custom credit for the "unused" amount.
