Can I change the subscription expiration date (making it sooner) after a customer has cancelled their subscription?

We have a customer who cancelled 7 days after their billing date.

I'd like to give them a refund but also set their subscription expire immediately.

Normally, I think, the Expiration would be their next billing date. But the next billing date is blank b/c they cancelled.
I thought about setting that date to today but then realized they'd be billed again, right?

I'm not sure what you're asking here. When an account is canceled, it's effective immediately.

Since the customer has prepaid for a month of service, if they cancel their service mid month, the service should still be valid till the next payment date (since they aren't being credited a prorated amount for the rest of the month). Right?

I see. As far as CG is concerned the cancelation is effective immediately. However, you could consider the account "active" until the next "would-be" bill date. You could, of course, issue a refund instead.
