Non-paypal members not able to make purchases
In my cheddargetter implementation, new members sign up for a free plan, and then can upgrade to paid plans at https://metalswap.chargevault.com/update
When they click the 'update subscription' button on that page, it opens a paypal page that only offers two options: pay with paypal, or create a paypal account. It does not provide the option to simply pay with a credit card without having to need a paypal account.
Am I doing something wrong in Paypal setup, or in cheddargetter's? Shouldn't customers be able to pay with just a credit card, and not a paypal account?

Hi Chris,
To give your customers the option to pay by direct credit card, you would need to be on our 'Blowing Up' plan. You can upgrade here: https://cheddargetter.com/admin/billing#cc. In addition, you would need a merchant account or PayPal Pro. We can help you get setup with a merchant account provider if that's the direction you're headed - just let us know!

Dean - thank you for the information. I apologize for not noticing that by looking at the pricing page.
So you are saying that the "blowing up" package does not work with paypal standard? Are there any other monthly fee-free options that would work if Paypal standard does not?

With 'Blowing Up,' you get everything. You can use PayPal and direct cc.
No. You can still take advantage of PayPal standard accounts while on Blowing Up.
I'm not sure what you're asking here. But, as mentioned above, you can still use PayPal standard. Are you wondering about our pricing, or PayPals?

I'm confused. With regards to the "fullblown" package, in your second to
last email you said I would need PayPal Pro, but in your last email you are
saying I can use PayPal standard.
If you can confirm which PayPal plan is needed for the "fullblown" package,
then I can better rephrase my question. Thanks!

If you want to accept direct credit cards using paypal as the merchant account and gateway, you will need paypal pro (cheddargetter blowing up plan required). If you only want to accept payments from paypal account holders, you can use a standard paypal account (cheddargetter paypal only plan).
