Is there a country restriction for the credit card ?
Hello,
I tried to update the credit card of an account with a card from Trinidad and Tobago, but the changes don't applied.
Do you accept cards from this country ?
Best regards,

Nicolas,
We do not limit cards by country. However, if we received a declined transaction response, it very well may be the result of your credit card processor, Ogone, denying cards based on country (or some other factor). I would suggest checking with Ogone.
Ultimately though, declines are managed by the issuing bank for the card you are trying to use. The best way to find out why a particular transaction is declining is to work with your customer to contact the bank that issued the card that is declining.
Thanks!
Mike

Hello Mike,
Thank you for your reply.
The problem is not on a transaction here, it is that I cannot register the card (on the account https://www.getcheddar.com/admin/customers/get/id/288bd888-217a-11e...).
There is no error message, just nothing happen when I want to update it.
Could you check what happened ? The card is finishing by 7179 and is working well on many other sites like Google.
Best regards,

Hi Jean-Marie. Cheddar does not decline cards. Decline occurs via the transaction processor, merchant account, or the card Issuer. Cheddar merely passes the information on to you as received from Ogone/Ingenico.
There were a couple of attempts to update the card on this subscription several days ago on 2020-04-10. In each case, Cheddar received response from Ogone indicating that the card is declined. When you register a new card with Cheddar, a small authorization (EUR 1.03) is performed to ensure that the card is valid. Here is the raw request/response values for one of those attempts (with sensitive values masked):
Since the validation authorization is declined, the card is not stored. In this case, the only way to know why this decline occurred is to work with the cardholder to inquire with their issuing bank as to the reason.
