Python Wrapper backing
Hi Cheddar-
We're considering your platform for a new service, but are concerned about Python support.
The last commits to your recommended lib (https://github.com/smartfile/sharpy) are from 2016.
That would suggest that either you haven't changed the API in 2 years, or that people are handling changes directly via REST.
Before we invest any real time in the Python lib...any comments about that?

Thanks for your question! The sharpy wrapper, maintained by Cheddar's current customer Smartfile, is the most up to date python wrapper available. There are some others out there (https://pypi.python.org/pypi/mouse/0.5.0, for example), but they're older and not particularly well documented.
All of our wrappers are open source. As a current customer, Smartfile has some incentive to keep the wrapper up to date, but since it's ultimately up to them to maintain it, we can't really speak to its accuracy. Offering wrappers that are officially supported by Cheddar is on the roadmap, but we've got a couple other big projects in the pipeline ahead of that, so it could be awhile before we get to it.
Whether you decide to roll your own solution or use a wrapper, you can reach out to our support team anytime during the integration process. Even though the wrappers aren't officially supported, we'll do our best to answer any questions you have about them or point you toward helpful resources.
