store page with several skus both subscription and nonsubscription
Hi - We have a fitness site that sells 1-time purchases like clothes and recurring billing transactions, like monthly access to our website. How do we use Cheddar Getter as our only e-commerce platform?

Can we set-up the system to bill at the beginning of service not in arrears?

Hi Chako -- I tried returning your call but got your voicemail...
It's pretty simple really. In fact, CheddarGetter is ideal when you have a mix of recurring subscribers with some one-time transactions mixed in. There's a ton of documentation here about how to do various things but I'll give you a basic breakdown. Use the API or the GUI or the Hosted Pages to register customers in CheddarGetter. Every customer must be subscribed to a pricing plan - this is how the customer's payment method is stored. You can use a non-recurring plan for customers who only pay one-time transactions. You can configure your plans to manage the recurring billing as well, of course. Then, you can use one-time invoices to execute payments in real time or use custom charges within a recurring subscription to add one-time charges to be settled on the next recurring bill. All this and your customers only have to enter their payment information once.
That's a configuration option for pricing plans.
I hope that answers all of your questions but I'm sure there are more. Fire away!

Thanks Marc. I'd love to see a few examples of websites that use Cheddar
Getter for a similar scenario - multiples skus, some recurring some not.
Can you please send me a few websites to look at?
I'd also like to see examples where they've done a good job skinning the
checkout pages to match their website design really well.
Thanks,
Chako

Hi Chako,
It's hard for us to keep tabs on how our customers are using the API, because we would need to have logins and accounts on all of their services. But I would be happy to help you customize your Hosted Payment page if you need some design advice. Can you send me a link to your current brand website?

Thanks, it looks like your CG account is called "FarmBox". Will you be adding a new product account for Buti FItness?

Buti fitness is for a different client. :)

Hi Chako,
I went ahead and made some aesthetic changes to match your site:

If you need to do one-time payments in addition to the recurring plans, you would need to do a bit of coding. Our API is very flexible, and Marc has linked to the articles you need in his previous post on this thread.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do!
Thanks,
Adam

Thanks Adam.
This would work perfect if we could have this drop down next to each type of
membership. For example, we have 2 types of memberships, Sculpt (basic) and
Sculpt and Tone (deluxe).
Each type of membership status has 4 different memberships lengths, daily,
weekly, monthly and yearly. Can this dropdown menu appear in 2 places on the
same page? Sculpt (basic) would have a video sample with option to buy on
the top half of the page and Sculpt and tone (deluxe) would have its video
sample with option to buy (bottom of page)
The less the customer has to move away from the product, the more likely we
are to close the sale. :)
Thanks,
Chako

Hi Chako,
The payment pages that we host are not that customizable. If you want to include video, and multiple drop-down menus during the checkout process, you would need to code that on your site, using our API to send the payment data to CheddarGetter.
Do you have a developer you are working with?

I am but they've never worked with Cheddar Getter so I'm trying to do
homework for him. Do you have Cheddar Getter experts we can hire?

We do indeed. What programming language is your site written in? We have developers in our community with knowledge of PHP, Rails, Ruby, Django, Python, and more.
