Collect user's phone number?
Hi,
I'd like to get the phone number of paying users.
I track users who seem to be having difficulty. I email them but I suspect some will be hard to reach that way.
For those users, I'd like to be able to PHONE them.
Even something as simple having a custom field that just saves the info to the Notes field would work.
I think this will be crucial for customer retention.

Thanks for the suggestion, Clay. I've registered a dev ticket so we can evaluate this. Asking/requiring phone number can be tricky. Most customers don't want to provide it and can lead to lost sales. It's also impossible to guarantee that the number is accurate so you end up with a bunch of bad data.

Form Fields can be visible or hidden. And if visible, do not need to be requird, right?
SUGGESTIONS that would avoid the problem you stated:
1. Make the Field names editable. (I"d then just change Company to Phone Number (and Company)
2. Add a Phone field name but make it hidden by default (unchecked)
3. For fields that are *required*, mark them thusly on the displayed form.
Thanks!
