Invalid UTF-8 characters in displayname

We've noticed that when requesting the the details of a plan, the displayName tag contains invalid UTF-8 characters.

For example:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<plans>
  <plan id="aaf3b9a0-7e5a-11e1-8c1f-40403c39f8d9" code="TESTING">
    <name>testing</name>
    <displayName>testing  0.05 / Month</displayName>

This happen on plans that have either recurring or setup charges, but not those that do not charge.

Is this a bug, and if so, when is it likley to be fixed?

Thanks,
Sam

  1. Hi Sam -- That's a UTF-8 bullet character. You're probably looking at it with a charset of something less than UTF-8. If you're not using UTF-8, then you'll run into other problems displaying characters like é, ø, ü, etc. Say, for example, your customer's name is Bjørn and Bjørn really hates it when you spell his name with a run-of-the mill "o".
