updating a cancelled subscription plan reactivates the subscription

Why would updating a subscription's plan re-activate it?

  1. This is the only way to reactivate a subscription. If the update includes payment information, the subscription reactivates. Updates without payment information do not reactivate.

  4. Hm - I just updated a plan code only and it seems to re-activate the
    subscription. I used this API call:

    /customers/edit-subscription/productCode/{0}/code/{1}

    and I set the planCode parameter only.

    I can re-try it to confirm.

  5. That appears to be a bug. We believe we've squashed it.

  8. When did you close it out? Can you give it another test?

  9. This appears to still be a problem in some cases. We'll continue to dig into the problem. Stay tuned.

  10. Hmm... This occurs when changing the plan (unexpected) or when updating credit card information (expected). We've deployed a patch that keeps the subscription canceled even if the plan changes.
