Why would updating a subscription's plan re-activate it?

This is the only way to reactivate a subscription. If the update includes payment information, the subscription reactivates. Updates without payment information do not reactivate.

Hm - I just updated a plan code only and it seems to re-activate the
subscription. I used this API call:
/customers/edit-subscription/productCode/{0}/code/{1}
and I set the planCode parameter only.
I can re-try it to confirm.

That appears to be a bug. We believe we've squashed it.

When did you close it out? Can you give it another test?

This appears to still be a problem in some cases. We'll continue to dig into the problem. Stay tuned.

Hmm... This occurs when changing the plan (unexpected) or when updating credit card information (expected). We've deployed a patch that keeps the subscription canceled even if the plan changes.
