Hey guys,

I started thinking about the possibilities with CG and it's endless. I think this will be a great product.

Here's some things I came across when going through the backend.

  1. Categories for Products
Rather than having to include the authorize.net info for ecah product. Maybe we can create a category and then place products underneath there that have the same global settings. It's not like most people have multiple merchant accounts.

  2. Templates.
Maybe providing people a template they can simply stick on their server to start collecting data. I'm not familiar with using API's or anything like that. If you pigeon hole it to coders only, you'll lose a lot of regular people that want to use it (like me)! Provide people a couple html css templates they can put on their site.

  3. Full Address Editing
I couldn't find a place for our users to put in their full address so we can edit it, and we can edit it.

  4. Exporting
We can export our customer data into excel or whatever.

  5. Autoresponder Integration
When someone signs up for our service they are immediately subscribed to our autoresponder list. Integration with Aweber, 1Shoppingcart, GetResponse, iContact, Constant Contact, etc would be awesome.

  6. One Time Payments
Rather than JUST recurring payments, allow us to create a ONE TIME payment.

These are just some things that I came across when going through the site.

I hope that gives you some great insight into the users mind.

Thanks for the great product,

Chris

Chris -- Thanks for the note. A few comments:

This would certainly be a nice improvement for customers with several products with the same bank account and same gateway account. Typically, though, there is just one. Almost always, in fact. We use CG for multiple products here but each has a different bank account. Even if they used the same bank account, we might like to keep the deposits separate for accounting purposes. This would be achieved with multiple gateway accounts.

You hit the nail on the head here. This feature is at the very top of our significant feature improvement todo list.

Full Address Editing. I couldn't find a place for our users to put in their full address so we can edit it, and we can edit it.

CG doesn't need your customer's full address. CG can accept your customers billing zip code in case you want to perform AVS at the gateway. In our opinion, zip is the only way to go for AVS. More information decreases reliability significantly and increases headaches without much advantage. Presumably, you already know your customers' address. CG is not a CRM application.

Exporting. We can export our customer data into excel or whatever.

We do intend to provide a flattened export of customer data in the future. There will also be a quickbooks formatted export among other things.

Autoresponder Integration. When someone signs up for our service they are immediately subscribed to our autoresponder list. Integration with Aweber, 1Shoppingcart, GetResponse, iContact, Constant Contact, etc would be awesome.

Hmm... Yeah, I could see us implementing such a service down the road.

One Time Payments. Rather than JUST recurring payments, allow us to create a ONE TIME payment.

    This is in development!

Thanks very much for the suggestions! Keep 'em coming!
