Promotions
I can not seem to get this to work the way I want to.
We have memberships which are either a year or month-to-month, but we give away blocks of time. I.e. a customer wins a year of membership. I created a promo code to accomplish the free year, but the system seems to require I enter their credit card info in order to accomplish this.
I don't have their card number yet and don't want it. It's a promotion, so requesting their payment information would scare them. I need to be able to add a new paid subscription that is paid by the promo code, without entering payment information. When the promotional period ends, the subscription simply ends. No fuss, no muss.

Hi Shawn -- Have you tried unchecking the "Require payment method on paid subscriptions" in your settings?
