Monthly vs annual allocation

Hi,

I am in the middle of setting up my pricing plan:

I have 3 options

Pro (5 videos per month)
Enterprise (20 videos per month)
Bespoke (60 videos per month)

I want to encourage people to pay annually in advance in return for a 10% discount and the ability to use these video allocations x 12 over the year rather than having to use the monthly allocation each month.

I have set up 3 more plans called pro Annual etc and now I just want to add the same tracked item (videos) but set the annual amount that can be used before the next billing in 12 months time.

Its not letting me input the same tracked item as the monthly plans- what am I doing wrong?

thks in advance

richard

Hmm... It looks like we have a bug there. When creating new plans, all existing tracked items should be applied to the plan. Also, when a new tracked item is created, it should be applied to all other existing plans. We'll have to look into this further so that we can replicate.

Please describe exactly what you'd like to end up with. We're going to have to fix some data for you.

Also, I find it odd that you have two different items. One called 'videos' and one called 'annual videos'. It seems to me that you probably want one item called 'videos' with a different quantity included and a different overage amount on the annual plans.

sorry for the delay in my response.

here's where I need to get to:

    1. Monthly plans paid via credit card

professional £99 a month includes 5 videos created each month. Overage £20 each
enterprise £199 a month includes 20 videos created each month. Overage £15 each
bespoke £299 a month includes 60 videos created each month. Overage £10 each

    1. Annual Plans (paid in advance outside of cheddar getter via cheque/transfer etc)

professional: £1200 includes 60 videos that can be used throughout the year
    enterprise £2400 includes 240 videos...."
    bespoke £3600 includes 720 videos..."

all could have the same product code, just available in different monthly allocations depending on the plan.

If someone paid for an annual license via wire transfer for example, I would manually set them up with a free account that would give them their annual allocation of videos to use throughout the year. (if they went over the same overage fees would apply)

All videos are the same so the same product code would be fine

That's what I'm trying to achieve- any help gratefully received!

    regards
    richard

Ok, your items should be all setup correctly now. We merged your annual video settings into the existing "vid001" item settings and deleted the old "vid002" item. Please let us know if you need anything else.
