Is there a way to provide a Promo Code so someone can signup w/o entering a credit card?

I'd like to provide a Promo code to some customers that gives them the first X months free.
I'd like to NOT REQUIRE a credit card from them.

Is there a way to do that?

    Hi there,

It's possible to apply a coupon/promo code to a new customer if their plan does not bill on signup. The system will allow the application of the coupon so the next six invoices will settle for 0.00 (if your coupon is 100% for six months).

If the plan their signing up for is billed on signup, then you can do a workaround by using the API to push the initial bill date a bit into the future. An hour or so should be sufficient, even a few minutes could work. So, the procedure would go as follows:

    1. Signup new customer & changeBilldate to future date
    2. Apply promotion

We also have in the works a preference that will allow disabling bill reminder e-mails if the current invoice is expected to settle for 0.00. So, for this case you could turn off those reminders for the first six months. Stay tuned for this feature if you're interested.

    All the best,
    Dean
