What is item code and item id?

17 May, 2011 09:03 AM

Is it referring to the tracked item code?
I was trying to do the basic stuff. Just to increment subscription for a particular customer.
Because how you display in Invoice I almost thought charge code is the item code.
So to count number subscriptions for each customer do i have to use tracked item or there are
alternatives? Sorry it seems easy to others but I have problem figuring out.

Set it to whatever you want.

Item code becomes the charge code for overage of an item.

Have you seen the docs? http://support.cheddargetter.com/kb/pricing-plans/pricing-plan-basics

    Thanks for answering the question.

I think what I want is very simple.

Our web app ( gowerk ) manages employee performance reviews online.

So when a customer signs up and create a number of employees in that company I want to charge this company $5 x No.Employees every month. Unless the customer disable employees or add a new employee the same amount will be charged to this customer.

Based on my understanding after reading the doc provided by you,

    Name: count
    Quantity Included: 0
    Overage Ammount: 5:00
    Monthly: No

And I can use API called addItemQuantity to increment No. of employees as they activate more employees.

Is this correct? I also attached the screen shot of invoice so that easier for you to undersand what I want to do.

If you can help me clarifying that would be great.

    Thanks

That looks right. I might have called it "Employees" instead of "count" but that's up to you.
