    Hi,

Just to clariify, your Paypal integration is not going to be Paypal Pro? SO, the only Paypal option will be for a user to be redirected to Paypal, fill in their details, and then be redirected back to our site?

I was hoping this was not going to be the case and we'd be able to collect CC details via the API and have Paypal charge in the background.

Do you know if/when this aspect of collecting payments via Paypal will be available?

PP Pro is simply PP Standard + PayFlo Pro (a traditional merchant account and gateway). CG already supports accepting credit cards directly for processing via a payment gateway. So, yes, we can combine PP Standard and a gateway for two different options for your customers.

PP support will be available on or around 4/30.

I am not completely familiar with the different flavors of PayPal. So can you please confirm with me I have understood this right:

    1) We integrate your api into our website
    2) User completes transaction on our website (no redirects to PP or other)
    3) The money ends up in a regular paypal account that anyone can setup (not one that needs approval or merchant bank account)

Is that how it will work?

Yes, or you can use our hosted pages (also coming on or around 4/30).

    2) User completes transaction on our website (no redirects to PP or other)

User must still be redirected to PP in order to approve the preapproval.

    3) The money ends up in a regular paypal account that anyone can setup (not one that needs approval or merchant bank account)

    Yes.
