Hi,

I am looking for a system that will not only take care of payments and subscriptions but that will also allow to manage several resources related to the subscriptions. For example subscription A would allow the user to download item 1, 2 and 3, subscription B would allow item 2, 3, 5 and 7. Etc. First of all I need to have a general overview of your price plans. Can you tell me a little more about it?

Thanks,

Hi there -- This is exactly the kind of thing the tracked items system is designed to do. You can setup your plans (A,B,etc) each with a different tracked items config. It sounds like each of your items would be like a "feature toggle". In other words, you can use the tracked items to determine if a particular subscriber has "permission" to have item 1, for example. See the tracked items section here: http://support.cheddargetter.com/kb/pricing-plans/pricing-plan-basics

    An excerpt:

    1. Enable/Disable toggle. Using these settings will allow/disallow access to the Whatchamacallit feature. So to make this work, you use the API to ask CheddarGetter to which plan your customer is currently subscribed. The result from the API contains information on whether or not the currently subscribed plan includes an available quantity of the Whatchamacallit item. You control access to the Whatchamacallit feature in your application based on this information. You can also think of this technique as a pricing plan specific access control list (ACL).
      • Name: Whatchamacallit
      • Quantity Included: 1 (if you set it to zero, it's the opposite, mmm hmmm.)
      • Overage Amount: 0.00 (this doesn't really matter)
      • Monthly: No (this doesn't really matter either)
