Trying to understand what the store would look like if we did not plugin with the API. Would it be a branded showing the recurring products in a store? Do you have a sample?

If we moved to the API option later do we start over or does everything migrate?

Thanks

    Hi Lee,

Our Hosted Pages do allow customers to create/update/cancel subscriptions. Just to clarify, though, we are not a shopping cart. Here's an example: https://mdbillingca.chargevault.com/create.

No, you do not need to start over if you decide to utilize the API later. All of your pricing plans and settings are saved in CG.

Are we able to create product groups to keep it clean.

For example we have 5 pricing levels for websites. Could they show in one drop down. What is the character count for the drop down text field to show pricing or a little more detail?

We have three pricing levels for email newsletters, they would be in another drop down / linked hosted page?

Can we apply a css style guide to the hosted page?

One last question, where do clients login to update credit card information etc?

All active pricing plans are options in the hosted pages dropdown. If you have 5 pricing plans, all 5 will be available in the hosted pages. It really all depends on how you set up your pricing structure.

What is the character count for the drop down text field to show pricing or a little more detail?

There isn't really a limit here, but we haven't had customers indicate they need more space. I've seen upwards of 40 characters. Currently, the dropdown text is an aggregation of the pricing plan name and recurring amount. Other than this information, the text isn't customizable. There is a short description which populates below the dropdown once a plan has been selected.

Here is another hosted pages example to take a look: https://amodatea.chargevault.com/create

The text you see above the dropdown comes from CG's hosted pages config. It's intended use is 'Company Info', but they've used it here for some clarifying billing information.

We have three pricing levels for email newsletters, they would be in another drop down / linked hosted page?

No. But, you could create multiple CG accounts to achieve this.

Can we apply a css style guide to the hosted page?

Yes. You can play around with that here: https://cheddargetter.com/admin/hosted-settings/theme.

One last question, where do clients login to update credit card information etc?

We strongly recommend that your customers get authenticated in your app before visiting the hosted pages. Please see the documentation for hosted pages for a deeper explanation.
