Hi there,

I have a website to provide SAAS to our users. Currently it is on CG simulation gateway. We have a few customers who are already subscribed to our service but since we are on simulation we not ready to charge them. These customers informaiton are current stored on CG simulation gateway, I think.

We are actually thinking to set up and move to real gateway very soon. The question is, for the customers we already have on simulation, will their Credit card information be moved to real gateway automatically and seamlessly, when the real gateway is setup? Otherwise, we will have to ask them to re-enter their card info again. Please let us know.

Thanks,
Charlie

Hi Charlie -- When you're ready to setup a real gateway, you will be forced to delete all existing customer data. The credit card number is not stored anywhere while in simulation mode.

Do you need help with a merchant account and gateway?

    That is too bad.

Anyway, when we get a merchant account and gateway, will we have to pay them regardless we have customer or not? How much is the base fee for maintain a merchant account and gateway w/o real transactions? Sorry for the newbie question.

The base fee for CheddarGateway is 20/mo which includes the PCI compliant cardholder data vault.

The base fee for the Equity Commerce merchant account is 5/mo.
