Credit based charging

Hi,

I'm looking to use a credit/token model to start charging for my app. For example, the customer buys 100 credits for $X, or 200 credits for $Y and is charged immediately. When the customer has exhausted their credit balance, they are offered the option of buying additional credits.

Is this something that CG can help me with, or am I better trying to do it directly through the gateway?

Thanks,

James

Sorry for the delay James -- I just answered a similar question here:

We always advocate an "arrears" billing model rather than "in advance" due to the liability issue. However, you can use the gateway directly as you suggest to issue a one-time transaction.
