One customer, many plans (yet again)

After reading the questions here about having a customer with multiple plans, I have found this one to be the closest to our case

http://support.cheddargetter.com/discussions/questions/68-one-custo...

I don't fully get the answer.

I am ok with creating different customer codes for each plan an actual customer subscribes, what I want to avoid is the customer having to enter the cc number for each plan subscription.

The the last four digits of the card can be used to determine if the card is the same for multiple customer accounts, but how can it be used to avoid the customer having to reenter the cc number?

Thanks

Yeah, that doesn't explain it well. In short, CG doesn't take care of this for you. The technique we suggest is to add all of the customer's subscriptions with the same credit card at the same time. If they add another subscription later, they will be required to enter the credit card information again. When a customer updates payment information, you can automatically update all subscriptions at the same time with multiple API requests.

    Ok, thanks Marc.

I think I will try a different strategy to adapt GC to our needs, maybe having a base plan of zero and only use tracked items,i.e, usage based.

    That works well, too.
