Online Agreement and Canceled subscriptions
Hey Cheddar Getter,
I was curious, if I have a customer that wants to cancel their subscription with AIM, how do they do that? Do I have to manually do that?
Also, in terms of my customers acknowledging a terms of agreement, how does that work? I mean I have always had students sign a student agreement (physical paper) but have not had something like that online. Is there a way to add that to Cheddargetter?
Sincerely,
Garrett

Hey CheddarGetter,
This link doesn't really answer my question as I was curious as to how the
customer cancels their account.
I also wanted to know how to implement a terms of service that the customer
agrees to before paying. How does this work?

Hey Garrett,
I closed this discussion since we're having a conversation about the same question on a different discussion thread. Did you see the response I sent on the other thread today? Here's the link to it http://support.cheddargetter.com/discussions/general/15286-re-subsc.... If you have any follow-up questions, feel free to post them on that discussion!

Hi Meghan,
Thanks for answering my questions. I have enabled email notifications. I
just would like to confirm that my customers will have the option to cancel
subscription (if they so choose) via this method. I know on their are
options that say: cancelled due to non-payment, cancelled due to payment
method expiring and canceled due to custom reason. I am presuming that the
custom reason would be that the customer chose to cancel their account. I
just wanted to confirm this presumption was correct. I didn't really
understand what the article meant when it said I could provide a link with
the customer key. I am assuming that this would be if I wasn't using a
hosted payment page.
In terms of the agreement and having a terms of service on their, having
them agree to the terms of service in the application process doesn't
really make sense because they haven't gotten started yet. If I can't
implement a terms of service via a hosted page, could I implement it coding
using the API? (just something for down the line). In the meantime, do you
have any suggestions as to online sites that can pop up a terms of service
to the users so then they can select "I agree to the terms of service"? If
not, I believe what I will do is send all of the students a word document
and they can agree to the student agreement online and email me back the
agreement before I begin working with them.
I look forward to learning your feedback.
Sincerely,
Garrett

Hi Garrett,
Yes, that's correct.
Yes, when you're using the API, you create and use your own payment pages, so you can design them to include whatever fields you'd like.
Nothing specific comes to mind, but there are a number of wordpress plugins out there you could use to create a pop-up on your site, so you can have customers agree to terms before directing them to your hosted page.
Hope that helps, but let me know if you have any other questions!
Meghan
