PreAuthorization
Is there a way to preauthorize funds?
I was able to do this in Quickbooks but this is the first time it's
come up since my Cheddar usage.
I have a onetime client wishing to use my facility.
I want to make sure those funds are available but not charge until
he is done.
Please advise.

Hi Christina,
Pre-authorizations aren't possible at this time, but we could enable card validation on your gateway account. Using validation means that the credit card will be validated with a real authorization, a real-world end to end test of the credit card. This is the best way to ensure that the credit card is legitimate and in good standing. If your processing platform supports it, the native gateway will use a 0.00 "validate" transaction for validation instead of the traditional small auth/void.
