Different gateway for different products?
Hi there,
I have a couple of live products.
I'd like to have payments for one product go to a different payment processor, bank account than the other.
Is that possible?
Thanks,
Ron

No problem, Ron. Just describe what you're looking to do in some more detail and we'll get you going.

I want to route the money to another business (not owned by me) for the
product cart recovery.

That business will need a merchant account of their own connected to their bank account. Tell them to contact Gravity Payments to get that going.

They already use iPayment and/or usaepay. Would those work?

Those are gateways. We need to plug a merchant account into our native gateway (NMI technology) in order to immediately begin redirecting funds. Otherwise, tokenized card data would need to be migrated to different gateway technology by import (expensive and laborious), or by existing customers updating their cards in CG (potential revenue loss).
There is a possiblity that the existing merchant account(s) used for the new business's usaepay or ipayment account is compatible with NMI. We'd need the VAR sheet details (specifically the processing platform -- First Data, TSYS, etc.) on that to make the determination.
I suggest that the new business gets a new merchant account with Gravity Payments. This is the only way we can be sure that everything will be solid going forward.
