Trial & Credit Cards
Hi,
Is there a way to allow users to add credit cards even when they are not required?
What I mean is that I don't want users to have to provide a credit card when they sign up for a trial. But I do want them to have the option to add it...
Jeff

Absolutely. The form fields on the hosted pages(here) can be configured to be required or not. As long as the selected plan does not bill immediately, a payment method will not be immediately required. You will also want to make sure the "Require payment method on paid subscriptions" box is unchecked in product settings.

I have a plan, where the billing doesn't start for 14 days. I also have it so that payment method is not required for paid subscriptions. When you visit the hosted payment page, it doesn't offer a way to input a credit card.
Is there a way to show those fields even though they are not required?

Hi Jeff,
Via HPP, the payment method fields are toggled off when payment is not required. On the other hand, the API allows for this kind of functionality.
Best,
Drew
