creditcard portability
We are currently working on our startup. In the very near future we will implementing payed features. During our search for the best solution, we found your website.
All of the features that are listed seem very appealing and would definitely fit our requirements. The only question I have is on creditcard portability. Assuming we are your customers: should we ever feel the need to move to another provider for whatever reason: can we export the creditcard data of customers and take that with us?
Thank you in advance for your response!

Hello Jasper,
Thanks for exploring CheddarGetter for your company!
To answer your question, yes it is possible. However, you need to be able to prove PCI compliance. Raw credit card numbers may be obtained when using CheddarGetter's native gateway. The PCI DSS requires that any merchant that requires access to customer credit card data be certified compliant at the appropriate level. If I'm not mistaken, that's "merchant level 3" compliant.
CheddarGetter also provides features that enable you to be flexible with your billing solution without the need to access raw numbers. This includes the capability to switch between merchant account providers at any time as well as the capability to completely migrate your customers from one billing solution to another. This is all done in a transparent way so that your customers aren't bothered.
Best of luck!
Dean
