Prorated payment changes
I've read that it is possible to perform prorated charges/credits when a customer changes pricing plans -- is there a way to also do this when items are added or removed? Or should I write something on my end that does the math and makes one-time charges/credits?

This must be handled on your end. The tracked items system is so abstract that it would be tough to do it in CG. That's exactly the kind of thing that one-time charges/credits are for.
