API Access to Transaction Events

Is there any way I can access the transaction (paid,declined) log via the API? If so where can I find the XML structure + docs for this. Haven't been able to locate it on the developer page.

I'm looking for a way to sync my records in case the silent post to our app fails for any reason.

    The transaction data is in the customer XML. If memory serves: /customers/customer/subscrptions/subscription/invoices/invoice/transactions/transaction
