Coupon functionality?
Hey guys,
Does CheddarGetter currently support a coupon/discount code? I'm looking to use CG for my company but coupons, especially the ability to make one-time-use codes, is a big part of my application.
Thanks

While we don't currently manage coupon/discount codes for you, we do support issuing custom one-time credits and recurring discounts. In other words, CG will do what you want on the billing side but you will have to manage your own codes, which should be fairly trivial.
We do have plans to implement such a service but we don't have the timeline set on that project yet. We'll keep you posted.

We implemented our own coupon system on top of CG. Initially would have preferred native support, but we ended up with a very flexible system that wasn't that hard to build.
The main problem now is:
Otherwise it works fine.

Marc, you mentioned recurring discounts. We're doing this with a -$1 tracked item (which you can assign any quantity to). Is there native support for this, or is that what you're referring to?

Yes, the negative overage technique is what I'm referring to.

Ola -- I'm not sure what you mean by a "credit card hold on payment feature". Can you please elaborate?

We are veloping an app that for a group buying system. After payment is made, we will hold payment until we are sure the required number of the offer/deal is reached for it to be available to people.

The CG system is highly flexible. You'll probably find it sufficient for your needs. Without a better understanding of your model, I can't help you further.
