Volume discounts on usage
I'm evaluating CG to manage my subscriptions but I need the ability to charge fixed monthly fees + usage - discounts depending on the volume of usage.
For example, a monthly membership fee is currently $4.95. Song downloads are set at $0.99. But, if you buy 10 or more songs in a month, you get each song for $0.89. If you buy 20 or more songs in a month, you get each song for $0.79.
Can CG handle that? I found plenty of info on the monthly + usage part, just not the volume discount part.

Using your example, you could have 3 tracked items, one for each tier. Add quantity up to the first 9 to the $.99 item. Upon the 10th item, set the $.99 item quantity to zero and set the $.89 item quantity to 10. When a customer gets to 19, do the same.

Maybe my example was not clear enough: the discount needs to apply to all of the songs, not just the additional songs.

No, I got you. That's why you'd set the lower tier quantity back to zero when that tier is exceeded. So, on the 10th song, you'd set the tier one quantity to zero and the tier two quantity to 10. On the 20th song, you'd set the tier two quantity to zero and set the tier three quantity to 20. Then for each song after than, add 1 to tier 3.
So, if a customer has 43 songs at the end of the billing cycle, they're billed for $38.92 (.79 * 43 + 4.95).

Ah... that could work. Thanks!
