Retries on post-transaction hooks
Hi there,
Do the CG servers re-try POSTing the post-transaction hooks if the remote endpoint times out or does not return a HTTP OK?
Thanks.

Hi Alex -- Our current transaction hook does not retry on failure. We are currently in active development of a complete replacement of the current hook system. The new system will auto retry on failure, provide reporting, manual retries, and several additional hook events. Our goal for launch of the new webhook system is May 1. You're more than welcome to implement the current hook. Changing to the new system when it's ready will require a little extra work but not any more than if the system was available today.

That's a rather uncomfortable timeline for me, as I was hoping to have this system complete during this month. If the hooks are not reliable I will have to poll GetCustomer instead.
Good to see it is improved though, thanks.

Hello Marc,
I'm a developer in put.io. We are also working on integrating CG to our system. I was wondering, if there is any available documentation for this new hook system.
Thanks.

Hi Kutay -- No but it's forthcoming. Is there something in particular you're interested in understanding?

Hello again,
Actually, the main thing is if the current hooks will still be working?
Thanks.

Current hooks will still work but will become deprecated. If we decided to stop supporting old hooks, users of those hooks will be notified well in advance.
