Pro-rated billing
Hi.
Do you support a pro-rated billing, where current month will be charged up to it's end, and then full next month will be charged in advance?
Thanks.

Hi Adam.
Let me clarify - is it possible to have a single date we can bill all last month customers, existing and new ones (taking pro-ratio into account)?
Regards,
Stas.

Hi Stas -- You'll have to be more specific. Can you provide an example of what you're looking to do?

Hi Marc.
1) We subscribe a customer.
2) The 1st of the month approaches.
3) We charge this customer for the time between the join date and 1st of the month.
4) We charge all the rest customers for the whole past month.
Let me know if you need more details.
Regards,
Stas.

I see. First of all, while it is technologically possible, CG doesn't officially support charging all customers on the same day. It causes unnecessary load on CG and on your app/staff on one day each month. Is there a reason why this is a requirement for you? I'd like to understand your use case.

Our billing department has a requirement of having all charges done within single date.
We can allow for post-charge (i.e. for period that passed), instead of advance charge.
Is there any functionality planned for this, or can be achieved via the API?
Regards,
Stas.

Hi Stas,
As Marc said, this is technologically possible via the API.
There is usually not a compelling reason to bill in this method, however, as it causes undue stress on your app and staff, as well as CheddarGetter.
What are the reasons your billing department has for this model?
Thanks,
Adam
