Do I really need the alias manager?

Pther solutionis like spreedly only use the directlink.

It's a deal breaker for me because alias manager has a 1400 dollars set up.

Thank you in advance

Hi Jonas -- Our setup uses DirectLink. The alias manager is the add-on required to store your customer's credit card data for recurring billing. If the alias manager isn't used, where is the credit card data stored?

This is the first we've heard of a $1400 setup. Are you certain that is the case?

Can I please cancel my cheddargetter account. It's too expensive startup cost.

By the way with spreedly I only need directlink.

BTW, while Ogone is an option, it is likely possible for you to use our gateway instead. Have you explored that option? https://cheddargetter.com/admin/gateway/new

Hi Jonas -- I canceled your account for you. Thanks for checking out CheddarGetter.

Our gateway, CheddarGateway (a Network Merchants gateway) can process in Swiss Francs. If I'm not mistaken, Ogone's alias manager has a $15 setup, not $1400. Spreedly does not hold the level of PCI compliance certification required to store credit card numbers. Level 1 compliance is required. You don't need alias manager with Spreedly because they are instead storing your customers' credit card numbers in a non-compliant manner. You'll find our gateway (and Ogone) on Visa's official list:

    Hi Marc,

Thank you for your thorough answer.

Ogone probably has different prices for different countries. I'm positive the alias manager has a 1400 set up fee (but no running costs) in some countries it's something you pay on a monthly basis.

The cheddargatway can process swissfrancs? will the costumers have a CHF price on their credit card bill? or will it be in USD?

What are the costs of the cheddargatway per transaction?

    Thank you in advance

    Jonas,

The costs of the CheddarGateway are included in the cost of using CheddarGetter. Total costs are $79/month plus $0.20/transaction for both CheddarGetter and Cheddar Gateway. We also have volume discounts available for customers with over 10,000 transactions per month.

The CheddarGateway does process swissfrancs and your customers will see their charge in CHF on statements.

    Jonas,

Just wanted to clarify that last answer: banks always will show native currency on statements. So since most of your customers will be in Switzerland, they will show the transaction as Swissfrancs.

Your money that you collect from your customers will also settle in Swissfrancs.

The only time it would not show up as Swissfrancs is if/when your customer does not live in Switzerland, in which case the transaction would show as their native currency, processed at the exchange rate at the time of the transaction.
