Free Trials Question
Say I have 2 plans
silver - $10 a month with 30 day free trial
gold - $20 a month with a 30 day free trial
If a customer signups up for silver and then upgrades to gold later. Will they get another 30 days free?
Thanks,
Tim

I wanted to add that I will be using the pre billing method so that when somone signs up i will give them 30 days free then transact the first bill. Not sure if this matters....

You could do this in a couple of ways. If you use purely "free" plans for the trial period and then require that the customer choose the paid plan at the end of the trial, the paid plans could bill immediately.
If you used paid plans with a delayed first bill, if a customer signs up for silver and then changes to gold 10 days later, they would be billed for gold immediately, effectively giving them a 10 day plan. A similar scenario is that the customer signs up for silver, is billed $10 30 days later, then changes to gold after 10 more days, the customer is immediately billed for $20 minus approximately $3. There's a visual here on how that prorating would work: http://support.cheddargetter.com/faqs/pricing-plans/pricing-plan-changes-upgradedowngrade
