Why are names required for PayPal payment?
Hi,
We are currently considering CheddarGetter as a payment platform for our application. We would like customers to be able to pay using PayPal. I am seeing some clear and simple instructions on how to do so on that page:
http://support.cheddargetter.com/kb/api-8/using-paypal-with-the-api
That page also mentions that, among the required fields for the API call for payment through PayPal, are name and last name. However, our application doesn't need, and as such, doesn't collect the user's names.
Why are those fields required? Don't users authenticate through PayPal once on the site? Is there anyway to circumvent that restriction?
Thanks.

Those fields are required primarily for the purposes of display and communication with the customer.
