Multiple PayPal (gateway) accounts added
Hi guys,
while trying things out I added multiple different PayPal accounts to one of our products.
- How exactly does the system choose which one top use?
- Can you remove some of them again?
- Can we change our PayPal account later on without loosing the already existing pre-approvals?

One account is always the primary account (the first one in the list).
Yes. Just let me know which one you want to keep active.
Yes. However, preapprovals are tied to a particular receiver account. So, any customer who accepted a preapproval on one receiver account must transact to that account until they accept a new preapproval. Even if you setup a new PP account, existing customers will continue to pay the old account. New customers (and customers who subsequently update their payment info) will pay the new account.

Ok, nice so it's possible to have multiple accounts for back ward compatibility so that people do not have to re approve we can just leave old accounts in there.
For us we currently only use one account. So could you please remove all PayPal accounts, besides the one that was added first?
