Transaction Post Hook no longer firing for our free accounts on their cycle dates
This is regarding the Transaction Post Hook (callback from CG to
our servers) as described here:
http://support.cheddargetter.com/kb/api-8/event-push-notification
As of 2011-12-05 (Dec 5), it appears that we stopped receiving these callbacks for our users on free accounts. We were depending on this as part of our home-grown free trial process. When we got the first non-initial callback on our free trial subscriptions, we would know that the trial was up, and we'd cancel it. Now we have hundreds of free trials that are no longer being cancelled!
Did something change around Dec 5 to cause this?

You are correct. Transaction hooks for zero dollar transactions were inadvertently disabled as part of the 12/5 release. We've reenabled zero dollar transaction hooks and we now have a functional test specifically for the zero dollar scenario. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
Can we help you in some way with your "uncanceled" trial subscriptions?

Glad you fixed this. The guys who missed their callbacks should get another one soon enough, so let's just let them have an extended free trial. Tis the season!
