Hi there - PayPal requires that the preapproval is only valid for a period of 3 years under our app (the default is 1 year and we've had this increased to 3). Further, they require that the end date of the preapproval is specified in the preapproval request and displayed in the paypal interface where the customer is redirected. Coincidentally, we've recently requested that paypal lift this requirement for our app. We're working hard to make that happen. We'll update you here when we have more information.

Awesome. Well I think the 3 year approval is awesome, but just if it
clearly specified in the UI that they're only paying for a year - and then
just saying that it's a 3 year approval thing. Btw, just sent another
inquiry before I had seen your response on this one. Thanks so much for the
quick response.

Hi --
I am contacting you to let you know that unfortunately, after much back and forth with PayPal, we will be unable to remove the end date from our app.
Here is the support ticket that we opened with PayPal:
https://ppmts.custhelp.com/app/account/questions/detail/i_id/935600
We are currently suggesting that any of our clients that have mentioned that they would like this removed open their own ticket with PayPal and reference our original query, as that may encourage them to allow this change in the future.
Thank you.
