CG Outage 2013-01-04
Our systems are detecting major connection failures to CG today 2013-01-04 during at least the period 21:05 - 22:00 UTC (13:05 - 14:00 PST).
Our curl library is reporting at least the following errors:
- SSL connection timeout
- couldn't connect to host
- Operation timed out after 60 seconds with 0 bytes received
This is close to if not over an hour of downtime in the middle of the day. Is this a known issue? Is it resolved?

Hi Dan -- We had a heavy db read causing some problems. Several db threads were hanging which caused the web heads to run out of available connections. We've disabled this lookup and working on a fix. Things should be back to normal.

Thanks for the update. Things appear normal again.
P.S. I updated the title of this thread to reflect that it actually happened 2013-01-04, not 2012-01-04... But the URL remains to shame me and reveal what will surely be my first of many "2012"s over the next few weeks.
