paying by check
So we've got a number of customers who want to only pay by check, and under no circumstances will they give us a credit card for backup. In order to accommodate these customers, I'd like to get a prepaid visa card with $10 on it that I'll use as a credit card backup. When they send a check in, I will credit their account for the proper amount, and then upgrade them to a paid plan, and each month, the system will just use up the credits they have from paying by check and never charge the prepaid visa card. Would that be a viable workaround?

Hi Chris -- That sounds like it'll work just fine. However, if they don't send a check, or their account is otherwise not credited, CG will attempt to charge the card and it will be declined. I don't see any issues at this time.

This works and we have a $25 prepaid gift card that we're using and keeping our fingers crossed. Definitely not an elegant workaround though.
