Cannot process American Express using Authorize.net

Our authorize.net account is set up to accept American Express but for some reason when I try to set up a customer with an American Express credit card, I get a 422-5003 error saying the "card type is not accepted". Not sure what is going on. Please help.

    Hi Farrukh! The 422-5003 error is from CheddarGetter. There is an underlying error response from the gateway which can be found in your error log at https://cheddargetter.com/admin/report/errors. The error is received from the gateway so it's likely that either your Authorize.Net account is not configured correctly or your merchant account does not accept amex. Either way, this is a question for Authorize.Net or your merchant service provider.
