Can't set overage amount to less than a penny

Our particular plans require that we be able to set the overage amount to less than a penny but the form won't allow it. We are tracking pageviews for our customers and want to charge them a small overage fee per pageview. I suppose the work around would be to simply track pageviews by units of a thousand and then adjust the overage charge accordingly, but it would be nice to have this ability to keep things simple. Obviously there would be some rounding here, but that probably comes up in other situations here anyways.

Yeah -- We considered this during development but decided you could use the workaround you suggest. This isn't exact, of course, so we're considering supporting fractions of a penny. If you really need it, let me know what your timeline is.

Marc, thanks for the reply. Obviously precision is key for us since this is a core aspect of our billing strategy. Basically our product is SaaS CMS and we bill based on pageviews. Our customers have a tier they choose which comes with a certain number per month and each tier has a different overage charge. We've spent a good bit of time figuring out those numbers so that they are fair for our customers and don't have us losing our shirts either :)

I'm currently in the process of either implementing a home grown solution or integrating with a product like Cheddar Getter. We've looked at other platforms and we really like yours and your company in general. What would be your time frame for making that adjustment?

We could move this up on the todo list and have it deployed before the middle of Oct. In the meantime, you could start development with everything costing a penny.

I tell you what Marc, that would be awesome. I can get by with it between now and then, but if you guys can get it out by the end of October that would be really great for me.

After trying to set this up with the multiples I've also noticed you don't allow decimals for the included amount of a tracked item either. Seems to me like this should also be allowed, to allow for the most flexibility. For example, what if I was tracking disk space usage and wanted to bill by gigabyte?

Marc, can you confirm that this change is in the queue now and when you expect it to be released? I'm sure you hate to give dates, but I'd love just to know that it is in the todo list for an upcoming release. Thanks Marc!

No problem -- It's still on track for mid-October. We'll be allowing for floats for quantity included, overage amount and customer quantity used.

Lee -- Sorry I missed this. This has been available for about a week or so.
