(401) 2001: The configuration at the gateway is incompatible
I have just changed ny plan so that I can test the payments with ogone. Essentially it was a 50 USD / month billed after one monmth. I changed the plan so that 1.00 USD was taken at the start so I could see the transaction in ogone. The payment is taken for 1 dollar in ogone.
I now get this message

Hi Dave,
I'm really sorry to hear that, but let's try to troubleshoot this to figure out what's going on.
Unfortunately, when Ogone displays an error message like this they don't supply any additional helpful information. What we do know is that this type of error results because something is not right on their side of things - perhaps a configuration error. For everything to work properly with Ogone, a lot of settings have to be configured just right or else the ship will break.
For starters, have you enabled 'Alias Manager' in your Ogone account? Some instructions can be found in our KB Article.
Please keep us informed!

Hi Dave,
Don't worry, that $9,000 transaction is on purpose. We use that to test the validity of the account. Looking at your CG account, it looks like your configuration went through. Please do what you can to contact Ogone support as they will have better information at this time. On our end, we will do our best to track down what's causing the problem as soon as possible.
The good news is your account is nearly setup, and after this hick-up we should see you up and running smoothly.

Ok I have paid up and it seems to work. However when I try and use the same form (even with a different email address) it says that I have already registered with the "first" email address. Is there a cookie or something.
We want the same person to sign up for multiple subscriptions with the same email address. Is that possible ?

Hi Dave -- This is by design. Yes, there is a cookie as you suggest. By default, the hosted pages uses the email address used to signup for the account as the identifier for the account. This is remembered in the session to avoid duplicate account signups.
To avoid this unfortunate side-effect, we recommend that you pass in your own system's unique identifier for the customer when directing them to the hosted create page. More on that here:
