Customer code uniqueness

I am trying to figure out the best way to have a test environment with CheddarGetter that will align with our company's test environment. The best way seems to be to have a "product" for production and a separate "product" for test. I'm using business ID in our system for the customer code in CheddarGetter. I just found out that customer code must be unique across products in CheddarGetter which is a problem because the customer with business ID 1 in our test environment is different than the customer with business ID 1 in our test environment for example.

How do you suggest we change what we're doing to work with CheddarGetter so that we can have a test and prod environment.

Thanks.

You should use a dedicated user account for each environment for API access.
